Robert Chapman is a Registered European Professional Engineer with more than 40 years of multiindustry experience in complex systems research, development and deployment. He has compiled a successful track record of technology introduction with leading companies in many fields, including public service utilities, guided weapons test, civil gas pipeline inspection and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. He has several patents that demonstrate his innovative approach to problem solving and has several Team Quality Awards recognizing his ability to lead teams towards meeting challenging goals. Bob started his career in the automobile industry and pursued studies leading to a Master's Degree in Electronic Systems Design. He has held positions in a wide variety of complex systems industries. focusing on the challenges afforded by R&D management and field deployment in conjunction with preparation for volume production. He has also qualified as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. He qualified as a certified First Responder in California for Safety and became responsible for Campus Response Leadership for Applied Materials in Santa Clara. Bob has deployed Six Sigma Design Control & Audit Methodologies and lean manufacturing methods. He has worked extensively on geometric dimensioning & tolerancing based Configurable Product Structure and the control of design variants in the context of modular systems design. He has also studied with Dr. Adizes, a leader in Organizational Transformation Methodology and Theory of Constraints to appreciate business systems issues and their resolution. Bob has been a consultant and tutor for International RoHS & WEEE, Hazardous Substance Process Management compliance with IECQ QC 080000 and taught Hazardous Substance Process Management throughout southeast Asia. He has acted as a consultant to a leading U.S, medical device company, ensuring their product compliance with European RoHS & WEE Regulations. |
